Mineral Blends
Adding micro elements (micronutrients) to dietary supplements or vitamin and mineral premixes can prove challenging.
As the recommended daily allowances for these micronutrients is usually very low compared to other nutritional elements, it can result in poor homogeneity and variable mineral content.
At Celtic Chemicals we guarantee an even and consistent dispersion through the bespoke manufacture of pre-blended micro elements / micro nutrients.
Securing the right blend
We work with you to formulate a precise calculation of what is needed, such as the quantities of actives and excipients (carriers) that will be required to make the right micro nutrient blend.
We can provide either a sample or a full trial batch for your evaluation, along with relevant documentation such as statements for Allergen, GMO, Kosher and Halal status.
Once the sample has been approved and an order placed, the blend can be manufactured within a matter of weeks.
Micro elements can be triturated (blended) with the following carriers:
- Maltodextrin
- Calcium Phosphate
- Calcium Carbonate
The following micro elements blended with these carriers at a concentration of your choice:
- Chromium Chloride
- Chromium Sulphate
- L Selenomethionine
- Potassium Iodide
- Potassium Iodate
- Sodium Molybdate
- Sodium Selenite
- Sodium Selenate
Blending / milling takes place in our food enclosure under EU food hygiene principles incorporating HACCP procedures in accordance with FSCC22000.
